A new international organisation
is being set up for traditional architects and other professionals and
craftsmen. The
International Network for Building Arts and Urbanism – I.N.T.B.A.U –
will be launched on 24th January next year.
A research fellow, Mathew Hardy, has been working on the project
for the last year funded by Petter Olsen from Norway.
He has been guided in his work by an international committee
chaired by Robert Adam. A great deal of interest has already been shown in the
network. It will bring
together the large numbers of, often isolated, individuals and
firms from around the world that have a commitment to perpetuating
tradition in architecture, building and urbanism.
It promises to be a positive force for the future of our cities,
towns and villages.
