The project involved the refurbishment of a Grade II Listed Victorian farmhouse and the conversion of outbuildings to improve the property for modern living. The original farmhouse underwent extensive internal alteration and refurbishment with a careful use of techniques and materials to provide continuity throughout the property. Lost decorative chimneystacks that once formed a feature to the house were reinstated, and modern fletton bricks were replaced with second hand bricks to match the original house. New dormer windows were also constructed and metal casement windows were replaced with new sash windows.

Elsewhere on the farm, the former stables were sympathetically converted into a garage and garden store with roof repairs and careful re-pointing were also carried out as part of the works. Original features such as windows and stalls were retained throughout and doors beyond repair were replaced in new oak matching the original detailing.

A new garden room was created from a further outbuilding. This conversion included extensive repair of a building in a very poor condition, with careful roof repairs and re-pointing. The building was sensitively divided-up into a number of entertaining rooms, cloakrooms and a kitchen and a new stainless steel and glass porch was constructed around the entrance to the building, ensuring that the impressive flint walls can be viewed through the porch. These three buildings are now linked by a new landscaping scheme which is an attractive mixture of formal gardens, meadow and water features.
